SUMMER RVers

Volunteers who come to Cross Bar X have had a rich and rewarding experience. Volunteers have helped make this ministry to disadvantaged youth possible. Cross Bar X maintains a ‘family type’ atmosphere where many long term friendships are developed. The following are specifics about the position.

What the camp provides:

The camp provides full RV hook ups and meals when they are served in the dining hall.

Position availability:

We ask that our RV volunteers come sometime during the month of May and stay through Mid-August or September. We are flexible with the time of departure during August, but it is helpful to stay until the beginning of September.

Time Commitment:

We ask that our volunteers work 25 hours per week. There will be a list of projects, by priority, that are given to our volunteer workers. Volunteers work at their own pace and time of the day. There may be some emergency situations, such as a broken water pipe, where the volunteer´s assistance will be needed. Also, if there is assistance in the kitchen or part of the program, there will be required times for those projects.

Types of work projects:

Carpentry, Maintenance, Painting, Irrigating, Mowing grass, Care of sprinkler system. Optional with experience and interest: Care of animals, Assist with cooking, Ranch work, and Office work.

Christian Background:

Cross Bar X Youth Ranch is a non-denominational Christian camp. We desire volunteers that believe in our mission and promoting biblical principles and the gospel of Jesus Christ. All volunteers must agree with our statement of faith.
