Mission of CBX:

Cross Bar X exists to reach socially and economically disadvantaged youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is accomplished through:

providing youth with Christ-centered summer camps. These give CBX a platform for year-round discipleship, outreach events, and involvement in a Bible believing church.

Core Values

1.       In everything we do, we present campers with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

2.       Our desire is that no camper is turned away from Cross Bar X due to a lack of resources.

3.       Each camper receives individual attention.

4.       We foster spiritual growth through discipleship and mentoring.

5.       Campers are encouraged to participate in a Bible believing church.

6.       We seek to provide life skills and opportunity for spiritual growth through experiential education.

7.       We seek to support and enrich the families of our campers.

Statement of Faith

At Cross Bar X we believe:

In the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.  (II Peter 1:19,20; II Timothy 3:16,17)

In one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Matt. 28:18,19; John 1: 14; Acts 5: 3,4)

That Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is the true God and true man.  (Phil. 2: 5-8; Matt. 1:18-25)

That man was created in the image of God and is loved by Him but, through sinful inheritance and choice, is alienated, separated from God and under His righteous judgment.   (Gen. 1:26; 3:1-19; Rom. 5:12-14)

In the Person of the Holy Spirit, and in His work of conviction of sin, His regenerating work and in His indwelling to give victory over sins and power in service.  (John 14:16,17; 16:7-11; Titus 3:5; Acts 1:8)

That the Holy Spirit indwells all believers, having baptized them into the Body of Christ at the time of regeneration, and that although there are many fillings, there is only one baptism of the Holy Spirit.  (I Cor. 12:13; Eph. 5:18-21)

That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary and complete sacrifice, and that all who repent and accept Him as Savior are justified wholly apart from human merit and works, on the ground of His shed blood and resurrection.   (II Cor. 5:21; I Pet. 1:18,19; Rom. 6:9,10)

In the eternal security of all those who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Savior.   (John 10:27-29; Rom. 8:38,39)

In the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the ascension in that body to the right hand of God.  (I Cor. 15:3,4; Heb. 1:3; 9:24)

In the rapture of the church, the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting separation from God of the unsaved.   (I Thes. 4:13-17; John 5:28,29; Matt. 25:31-46)

In the second, visible, and personal coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to establish His worldwide Kingdom on earth.   (Rev. 19:11; 20:4,6)

That the Christian life is not a reformation but a transformation, in which Christ Himself lives through the believer's whole being. Such a life will be preeminently characterized by love, truth, and purity.  (II Cor. 5:17; Col. 3:4,12-14)

That God's people should be separated unto the Lord and abstain from all appearances of evil.  (II Cor. 6:14-18; I Pet. 2:11; II Thes. 3:4,15)
